Description: For this drawing activity, we made a pumpkin using oil pastel and black marker. We started by practicing on another piece of paper to create our pumpkin, once we had an idea of how we wanted to draw our pumpkin, we started to draw it on our black piece of paper. We drew out a pumpkin in pencil and outlined it in black marker, we then drew out the moon and added a grassy patch. We first started with our light colors for the moon and pumpkin and shaded the bottom left of the pumpkin to create a shadow. We then colored our sky, added stars, and colored our grassy area. Lastly, we put glue over our black marker lines to really bring out the lines.
Activity: For an extension activity, I would have the students create a pumpkin patch. I think that it would be really cool for the students to create more than one pumpkin and almost have it as if it was a pumpkin patch. They could make different sizes and colored pumpkins because as we know, not all pumpkins are the same.
